Home Field: Ohio Field

By 1914, The Ohio State Buckeyes had a home field on campus.  Ohio Field was near the armory building near the present-day intersection of Woodruff and High.  The Buckeyes would finish their first 25 years with a record of 135-76-18.  John Wilce was in his second season as coach.  Wilce would coach for 16 seasons and rack up an impressive 78-33-9 with OSU’s first three Big Ten titles, a mark that would not be bettered until the era of Woody Hayes.
